Day 19 The fields of Canada

As we are driving through Canada we kept seeing fields of yellow and none of us knew what was growing so we asked some one. They are fields of canola they harvest the seeds to make canola oil. The fields are beautful.

Day 18 Leaving Jasper and Heading East

We left Jasper this morning and heading toward home. We have had rain almost every day and today was the same. At least the rain hasn't lasted all day. We just keep driving on and enjoying the ride.

Day 17 Jasper

Tony, Monica, and Bernie decided to take it easy by renting mountain bikes and riding trails, Lulu took it easy herself getting things done that needed to be done. We all had a good day.

Maligne Canyon

Today we are in Jasper we all ind of took it easy because we knew we were going to have some long days. Dale and I took a little hike  to the canyon that also was called 6 bridges hike.We didn't do all we only did 3 because 1 was washed out ,I loved the hanging bridge the best.

Day 16 Driving into Jasper

Today was a beautiful drive on the Ice field Highway. the mountain are just amazing to see. As you were driving you could see the glaciers up on the mountains. I love seeing the Canadian Rockies. While we were driving we seen some bears. The locals call that bear jams instead of traffic jams. It is funny because everyone driving by stops or asks what do you see. We had to get out and see for our self.

Johnston Canyon

We finally were able to see the Johnston Canyon because the day before it was raining and we didn't stop. . We walked to the lower and upper falls they have catwalks built into the rock over top of the water. It is amazing to see the force of the water below. That was a very nice hike short and sweet.

Columbian Icefields and Athabasca Glacier

On our way to Jasper we took a tour of the Athabasca Glacier, They had a cool bus that drove us up on the Glacier. We got to drink water from the Glacier ,it tasted very good .The glacier that we were on was as thick as the Eiffel tower is tall. That is amazing.
