Today we went to see the lakes it is amazing how the water lookes They say it is from the minerals in the runoff of the snow. Even with the rain everything was great. we even got to see some Elk laying among the trees. So cool.
Today Tony and Monica took a hike by themselves to a tea house. this was a pretty good hike up. Tony was saying he was going to have tea and crumpet,but he was teasing I think. Then they stopped and soaked in the mineral hot springs.
Today was the big day that we crossed the border into Canada. I was really nervous because I talk to someone on a motorcycle that said they like to search motorcycles and it took about 4 hours. We have nothing to hide but it still made me nervous. We made it through with no problem now I will worry about going back into the good U.S.A.
While driving on the highway you just don't know what you will see. We ran into a herd of Big Horn Sheep standing in the middle of the road. We have had rain almost everyday but it was still great to see the mountains.
Today we took a 10 mile hike to Iceberg Lake. I never would of thought we would be hiking in snow in July. The day was beautiful and the weather was warm.The views on the way there were awesome ,we even got to see a bear in the distance. We all really enjoyed the hike and when it was over we had pizza and beer.
Dave ,Sharon,Tony,Monica,Bernie and Lulu took a hike today to the Chalet that was up the side of the mountain.They came back very tired but they all seemed to enjoy it.
